Ballet Classes

Ballet provides a technical physical foundation upon which other dance techniques are built. It is a self-disciplined art that underpins all other forms of Dance. It encourages both discipline and awareness of ‘placement’ and ‘line.’ Our ballet classes are developing dance technique, artistic presentation and musicality. 

Peploe-Williams Academy ballet classes aim to assist students in developing their posture, balance, strength, co-ordination, suppleness, stamina and musicality. Classes are not meant to replace students’ present musical theatre classes but are there to enhance students repertoire. Good early training is vital for a secure technique to assist students’ future development as dancers. 

Ballet Classes 3 to 7 yrs

Ballet is a beautiful art form that your little girls and boys will come to love and excel in. It teaches discipline, posture, and elegance, and indulges completely their performance fantasies. In this class, our little dancers dreams of becoming a beautiful ballerina or a handsome prince will come to life. This maybe your child’s first introduction to ballet in a fun make believe way, and from the first Plie, to a final curtain call on stage, our little dancers will come to appreciate the joy that comes from dancing. By taking your child on magical 30 to 45 minute journeys each week, we will teach them the basic ballet steps in their fun imaginary world.

Ballet Classes 8 to 13 yrs

All our ballet classes provide a technical physical foundation upon which other dance techniques are built. Ballet classes encourages self-discipline and awareness of ‘placement’ and ‘line’. Peploe-Williams Academy’s ballet classes aim to assist students in developing their posture, balance, strength, co-ordination, suppleness, stamina and musicality. Ballet classes for this group will also help with a students Modern and Tap classes in terms of balance and core strength.

Ballet Classes for 14+ yrs

In these Ballet classes, students are introduced to pointe work, and the student begins complicated Grands Allegro combinations. This is the beginning of advanced technique, and the student should be taking at least 4 to 8 hours of ballet classes per week, as the level of technique needed to achieve good grades increases substantially.
